This Friday, yes, in two days, M. and I are off to Italy!!!
Woot!!!
This is our itinerary!
Starting in Milan Bergamo, then Verona, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Pisa, and ending in Rome!!!
I cannot wait to see all the beautiful renaissance paintings in art museums, and eat delicious pasta made in Italy, and pizzas, and cold coffees, and frappuccino!!!
Mnaaaam!

The only thing that worries me, is pickpockets. That something will be stolen, something valuable. And I don’t have money holders inside clothes, sniff. Hopefully it’ll be ok.
Plus I hope Ryanair handles my backpack with care!
By the way, this means I won’t be updating here for the rest of July.
Have a great sunny July!!!!
See you next month!
Studying under a tree and concentration…

in frustrations, worries
Today I stumbled on this image.
And, well, just looking at it gives me a sad and nostalgic feeling…
I want to be like that.
Carefree, relaxed, calm, enjoying the outdoors with a good book. Even with a book required of me to study, not only leisure. And being able to concentrate on what I am doing and focus, therefore enjoying the whole experience of studying outdoors.
I really want to do something like that so bad… But either I cannot find a quiet spot, or it’s not good enough, or the weather is bad, etc.
Plus for some reason I really have problems to concentrate.
I’ve always had it, in school it would take 2-3 times longer than “normal” students to get through something, because I had big problems to stay focused.
The only book I was ever able to stay focused for so long, was each one from the Harry Potter series. None else.
And that is not good, and very worrysome…
How the hell can I manage a job when I have these problems? Especially at a company, when they want maximum productivity.
Everytime I tried to study somewhere else, I was always snapping my head up when I heard noise. Someone walking by, anything. Or in my room even, looking outside the window at the ugly building across the street and thinking… Or playing around, mind wandering…
I tried giving myself a schedule… Nothing. I tried putting alarms… Nothing.
I hate this.
I will end this post, I don’t want to go further into the dark pit of depression.

Konnichi wa! ;P
Sorry, I don’t know how to write in Japanese yet. So it’s Romanji for now.
This weekend I re-ignited the “Seirei no Moribito” flame.
I don’t remember why I had put it on pause in the past, but I think it’s normal for me to do that. You see, I don’t want good series to end.
(Which I am sure many people do, but to achieve this I stop watching the series
) I know it’s a stupidity and useless. From “Le Chevalier D’Eon”,

I’ve left two episodes unwatched I think. ;P Well, don’t even ask about InuYasha

or One Piece.

I restarted Naruto,

but I think I am not in the mood for it right now. For those of you who have never watched Seirei no Moribito (Guardian of the Sacred Spirit) …
A description taken from AnimeNewsNetwork:
Balsa, the spear wielder and bodyguard, is visiting the New Yogo Empire. She is hired to protect the Second Prince, Chagum, who is endangered because he is possessed by a water fiend despised by his father, the Emperor, who ordered his assasination. The two go on a perilous adventure for the survival of the prince. Throughout the story, Balsa’s past will come to light and they will uncover mysteries about Chagum’s condition while developing a family-like relationship with each other and others.
Seirei no Moribito has beautiful music. Just beautiful.
The artwork is very nice… I like it a lot.
The story is compelling, but most of all the characters are deep and therefore easy to feel affection for some of them.
It’s an excellent series… I wholeheartedly recommend it!
By the way… It must be seen in Japanese, subbed!!! I saw a little of how it would be dubbed, and it was horrid O_O Well… in my opinion all dubbed is horrid, when you’ve compared them to the original.
I used to watch InuYasha dubbed until one day I watched it subbed.
And then I was wondering how the hell I used to watch it like that and that I even liked it so!!! O_O Eek!
This song has been stuck in my head, and I cannot sleep, so that’s why the post is about this anime.
Another beautiful song:
Here are a few more images from Seirei no Moribito:
As a treat for those who have read the post all the way to the bottom (:P) , here you can watch it online!!!
(Or at least the first episode to see what it’s about). The quality is not TOO terrible.
Sure, I could live without a car for a year… or more…

As the title says, I COULD live without a car for a year. I have been living this way for years.
In a big city as the one I grew up in, using public transport was more than enough. It is cheap (for students the fare for 70 mins is 25 cents! For “non-students”, 50 cents!), and 90% of the time reliable.
Why use the car? It pollutes the environment, it creates more traffic -> CO2 + stress -> noise pollution.
Are we humans so lazy? At the current city that I live now, many many people take the bicycle. I think that’s wonderful! It has no effect on the environment, they are exercising a little every day, and just being out in the nature gives you a sunnier disposition. (That is, if it’s not raining or snowing
)
The only reason I would want a car is to go for a trip further away, but even then, in a developed country they should have buses even for other cities/towns/villages.
I encourage more people to leave their car and either car pool, take a bicycle, walk, take the public transport. Many days we feel like we don’t even want to walk 5-10 mins to the supermarket. I understand that. But we should realize the effects of using the car every day, for every little errand.
Small steps can make a big difference.
Who doesn’t love cupcakes?

I made cupcakes for the first time today!
(Yay!)
I always loved them, they look so colorful, and vibrant, and delicious, and happyful.
I was afraid of screwing them up since I’ve never sifted flour (I didn’t know it was so easy
). I’ve been looking at them for weeks, thinking of how much a beautiful experience it would be to eat them.
Finally today I gathered up the courage and made them for the first time!
I took the recipe from Allrecipes, my favorite site for recipes!
What did I make? Red Velvet Cupcakes!
Here is the process shown:
First, was mixing the batter, to make it smooth, light, and fluffy… This is with added food coloring.
Next, putting the batter into each cupcake holder… That was a little difficult to do since I’m a beginner. I guess it shows.
20 mins later… yay! They look as they should!
Step one, success!
(Although it seems I didn’t put it evenly
Oh well!)
(Emmm, please excuse the state of the oven top, but I was cooking before baking and didn’t clean it yet.
)
So, the frosting next! As I was making it, I thought that the recipe wanted a lot of sugar, but I considered that this is how cupcakes are and did the whole thing.
I put the frosting on top, but I refrained from posting it here because the frosting on top flopped on the cupcake with no shape, and it doesn’t look good.
Done!
M. tried one. He liked it, but added that it was a killer, that there was really too much sugar. I told him that’s what the recipe said, that’s what I did, and next time I’ll look up a different recipe.
He couldn’t believe that one recipe could be such a “killer” in sugar, so he went to the pc and see the recipe himself. And…. it seems I made a mistake….Whoops….
The recipe ingredients list is for 30 cupcakes. I made 12. Allrecipes converts immediately the necessary amount… But it seems not the numbers in parentheses. I didn’t know this…. Whoops. So, basically, I used 16 oz. (473 ml) of confectioner’s sugar for 12 cupcakes…!!!! O____O
Yikes!!!!
They really are a “killer”. I ate ONE, and my stomach is in such pain now.
X_X It sits like a rock in your stomach.
While I was mixing the batter, he noticed that I had used the whole bottle of red food coloring, and commented that it was really a lot, but I told him that this is how Red Velvet Cupcakes are. Well… guess what.
That amount was also in parentheses. Whoops. So, half a bottle wasted.
And it was so expensive… 1 oz. red food coloring (which is how much I put in total when I should have put half or less), was 5,50 euros!!! O_O Goodness, Finland is so f$%#ing expensive. :/
Oh well.!
It was my first time making cupcakes after all. Plus I am a novice cook.
Plus I didn’t know this “bug” in the Allrecipes site. Next time I’ll know!
As a tribute to the wonderful world of cupcakes, I present to you photos that I found off the internet (= no, I did not make these
)
Lets – ee – gooooo! Super Mario!!!
These are so CUTE!!!
Have you started to drool yet?
Rollerblades and the big dilemma

Rollerblades, rollerblades….
In-line skates, which is the proper term.
I went into InterSport with M. the other day, and by chance there was a sale on said in-line skates… I found my size, tried them on.
My emotions ranged from, “yay! I can get them, and be cool, and woo do an activity!”, to “shit what I am thinking, I’ll fall on my face and have a terrible accident! O_O I cannot do this!”
So at the end I left disapointed.
But I keep thinking about them. :/
Aargh! *throws hands up into air from frustration* I don’t know what to do!
Plus the area here is so hilly…. I cannot comprehend/dare going downhill! O_O
So the only option for now is going around the lake.
But I shouldn’t be afraid all the time…
Argh!
Help! Meep?
I want to have a hobby, and be outside in the nice weather and not inside all the time, plus exercise to be fit and lose weight…
Counting bookmarks … Egads!

Hehe, for some reason lately I’ve been wanting to say that…
Egads!
Guess how many bookmarks I currently have? *devil*
*drumroll…*
Are you sitting down?
You can take a guess, and then post me what your guess was!
Ok…
egads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2865 !!!!!!!!!
Yep, this is the same person with the record of 195 open tabs in Firefox. Hey, in the same post I was wondering how many bookmarks I have! Well, my life is complete! I finally know!
Good ol’ Xmarks told me!
I love this add-on! <3 It’s a bookmark organizer and synchronizer. It’s great, because in case you forget to save your bookmarks before a format…. Or if you suddenly want to look up something when you are at another computer…. Poof! It’s right there on your fingertips!!
And I don’t care that they can see what I browse/like. Google does that anyway.
And mind you, this number is for how many bookmarks I’ve had since I installed Xmarks.
Which isn’t THAT long.
How many do you have?
Fire Emblem!

Hello hello!
Recently I’ve gotten stuck again on Fire Emblem.
I had played it some years ago, and had really liked and enjoyed it then. I’d played the two GameBoy Advance games, Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken (Blazing Sword) and Fire Emblem: Seima no Kōseki (The Sacred Stones). One day as I was searching for some image, I stumbled on the image of one of the characters and it re-ignited the flame!
Woot!
It’s fun! Even though on Normal mode it is pretty easy to beat, but I like very much that it is more personal, not cold and impersonal as many games are. You get to know the characters, get to feel affection for them … Along the lines of normal and not obsession for fictional characters, I mean.
Here are some screenshots from the cover box art, and the gameplay:

This is when there is a fight:

This is from Sacred Stones, but looks almost the same as the previous, Blazing Sword:

Here are some of my favorite characters!
Lyn, because I can just imagine her being a real-life close friend of mine… She is compassionate, friendly, generous, helpful, kind… Plus she looks cool!!

Eliwood… Because he’s a Lord like Lyn, and they go together! Plus he’s hot!
Well yes, he’s also kind, generous, etc. etc.

Joshua, because he’s a Myrmidon, plus super cool and hot! I mean, come on, look at that stance… The billowing cloak, that confident look… That flaming red hair… It just re-ignites my Reno fancy
Erk, the mage!!! Because, he’s a mage, and he has purple hair!!!!!! End of discussion!
Hector as well, because he’s Eliwood’s best friend and a cool guy to be around.
Damn, there are many others, but I don’t remember them yet because I haven’t played the whole game of Blazing Sword yet (and more will be recruited), and I haven’t re-started to play Sacred Stones, so I cannot remember characters that I liked years ago.
(Except Joshua
<3 )

Here are the “mug shots” of the characters in Blazing Sword (the one I am currently playing). You can clearly see Eliwood, Hector and Lyn in the first three sprites
Erk is in the third row). I just think this image is great, colorful, pixel art, and vibrant!
I mean, come on, how can you not like the good guys (and girls)?! They are all so good-looking, beautiful, with amazing outfits and vibrant-colored hair!!!! Sniff…. Why can’t real-life hair be like that….
It’s an unrequited wish, I know.
For much more information on the games and characters, visit Fire Emblem Wiki!
Off-topic: I made Sloppy Joes yesterday!!!! YUM!
I haven’t eaten it in yeaaars, I had missed it a lot! My mouth is drooling just thinking about it again.
Maybe I should visit the kitchen.
I took a picture of the dish I made, so when I transfer it to the pc I’ll post it here!
Have you played Fire Emblem?
If yes, let’s share our passion together!
